DBMM-De Bellis Magistrorum Militus 15mm Dacians with Sarmatian allies march out

DBMM-De Bellis Magistrorum Militus 15mm  Dacians with Sarmatian allies march out

Last Thursday’s game of DBMM is about to begin. We still have a substantial team of 15mm ancients players who follow the family of games of De Bellis Magistrorum Militus or DBMM II. It all started long ago with the brilliant De Bellis Antiquitatis (DBA) Ancients Wargame Rules 1.1 and then came the evolution……of Wargames of ancient battles 3000BC to 1550 AD. Dacians with Sarmatian allies march out against another army…lots of light horse

Flames of War- Blitzkrieg-1940 French v German-The Early War

Flames of War- Blitzkrieg-1940 French v German-The Early War. Steve and Trevor took their early war armies to the table using the new edition rules and the early war blitzkrieg manual. The French used an Escadrille de Combat which started slowly because Stukas kept bombing the French tanks but after a long drawn out attrition battle the French got on the German objective.

Liepzig 1813 An amazing giant 15mm reconstruction battle in Horbury, Wakefield.

I went over to Horbury to see the massive 15mm 2 day reconstruction of the battle Liepzig 1813 using Age of Eagles rules. A very credible & extensive attempt by the Wakefield and District Wargamers  http://www.wakefieldanddistrictwargames.co.uk/. There were three  giant tables of about 18″x4″ and hundreds of of 15mm Napoleonic figures. The best demo war game I have seen in years.

The Age of Eagles rule set in the Napoleonic version of the famous Fire and Fury ACW rules.

Flames of War

A game of Flames of War; Battlefront’s popular game system. First time this has been played for many a month. There used to be many players of this at the club and some want to start again. We have got Late, Mid’ and Early versions of Brits,Soviet, German, US and Blitzkrieg French and German. The late-war Brits take on the Germans in this shot.
